Will I Still Make It To Heaven If I Commit Sin? Part 2 | 16/12/20 | STS Devotional

Good morning,

The same way Satan is eagerly waiting to accept the soul of a sinner, God is eagerly waiting to accept the soul of one who repents. In Ezekiel 18:27-28 God says, “27 Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. 28 Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.”

This is a love invitation from God himself.

He is saying that he does not wish that any sinner perishes. The moment you turn away from iniquity and come to him in repentance through Jesus Christ. He will accept you; he will forgive all your sins.

He is ready to forget all your iniquity that you have done. Is it rape, robbery, murder, theft, lying? God is ready to forgive you and wash you clean.

God will forgive the deepest darkest sinner on earth if the person simply comes to him through Jesus Christ.

This is the God I know. He is just and righteous, yet he is loving and merciful. Oh! who is like unto him? No one, no not one.

Will I Still Make It To Heaven If I Commit Sin? Part 1 | 15/12/20 | STS Devotional

Good morning,

The answer to this question is very simple. You do not need to do too much bible studies to know what God is saying about this. God clearly answered this question in Ezekiel 18:24 & 26 so I will just quote Him directly:

“24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. 26 When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.”

God is saying here that it does not matter if you call yourself a righteous person. It does not matter if you are a Christian. It does not matter if you are even a pastor. If you turn away from your righteous ways and commit iniquity, you shall die. You may not yet die physically, but spiritually you shall die. You are become one of Satan’s children.

This is a very fearful thing.

Note that God neither stated how many sins you must commit before you transit from heaven’s list to hell’s list. He also did not state how long you must commit that sin before the transfer is done. But I know the devil, that wicked roaring lion. He is constantly monitoring you, just waiting for you to make a mistake and once you do, he does not waste any time in accusing you before God so he can take what is rightfully his- your soul.

Perhaps you have a heap of sins over your head that you have not yet truly repented from. I want you to listen to last Friday’s (11/12/20) devotional again so you will understand how to repent and have your sins forgiven.

Please and please, do not make the mistake of remaining in your sin. Do not joke with it, the devil has already marked the date of your death on his calendar. He needs to quickly kill you before you repent. Do not risk your eternal destiny because of pride. Humble yourself before God, go to him in your secret place and repent.
