Nigeria, a county in West Africa, is the most populous country in Africa with a population of over 216 million. Nigeria is often referred to as the Giant of Africa owing to its large population and economy and is considered to be an emerging market by the World Bank. However, the country ranks very low on the Human Development Index and remains one of the most corrupt nations in the world.

Why Pray?
About 50% of the Nigerian population are Muslims. One of the reasons why the Muslim share of Nigeria’s population is on the rise is because of the high fertility rate compared to Christians.
Prayer Points
- Pray that the Lord will purge His church in Nigeria from hypocrites, especially those on the pulpits.
- Pray that once again, the church in Nigeria will preach and practise holiness as the main focus of her Christianity
- Pray that Nigerian Christians will be open to training and education on how to effectively reach the lost and perishing so that we stop filling the church with false converts.
