Day 12: DR Congo

DR Congo is by area the second largest country in Africa and has a population of around 92 million, 95.8% of which are Christians.

Why Pray?
The Democratic Republic of the Congo is extremely rich in natural resources but has suffered from political instability, a lack of infrastructure, corruption, and centuries of both commercial and colonial extraction and exploitation with little widespread development. As of 2018, around 600,000 Congolese have fled to neighbouring countries from conflicts in the centre and east of the DRC. Two million children risk starvation, and the fighting has displaced 4.5 million people.

Prayer Points

  1. Pray that God will heal the land of DR Congo and restore every wasted place
  2. Pray that the Church will see the economic and social crisis in DRC as an opportunity to preach the Gospel and save souls.
  3. Pray that those still worshipping God in falsehood will realize the truth about God and begin to worship Him in truth.

Message

After fasting and praying, this is what I perceive the Lord is saying to the people of these nations:

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 KJV
