Covetuousness

Covetuousness is an inordinate desire for another’s possessions e.g. He looked at his boss’s new car with covetous eyes.

Consequences of Covetousness
According to 1 Corinthains 6:10, the covetous person will not inherit the Kingdom of God. This means that he/she will be cast into Hell.

How To Stop Being Covetuous

  1. Trust in Jesus to provide for you. And practise contentment.

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
Hebrews 13:5‭-‬6 NKJV

  1. Believe that God will supply all your needs (not wants). See Philippians 4:19
  2. Take all your requests to God in prayer.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6‭-‬7 NKJV

God bless you as you obey His word.
