The Security Man

One of our security men surrendered his life to Christ today. I was overjoyed at the fruitful evangelism and he thanked me profusely while I walked away. Then he said something that made me stop. He said, “I have been praying that you will come and preach to me one day. Today, God finally answered my prayer.” I thanked God with him and left.

I spent the rest of the evening pondering on what he said. I am now wondering how many more people have been seeing me passing by just wishing I will preach to them. How many of my coworkers have been praying that one day, I will give them the hope of the gospel? How many of my staff have their mouths watering to hear the Good News from my mouth?

Lifestyle evangelism (just living a life of love and happiness) is useless if we do not crown it by opening our mouths to speak about Jesus. Not everyone will boldly walk up to you and ask you to share with them the joy and the light that they see in you.

Jesus told us to go into the world, not to wait for the world to come to us. We must be proactive. We must take the initiative. Time is running out.
