The word of God is usually depicted as something (or someone) who is sent to accomplish a task.

Many verses in the Bible, including our text, say the word of God is sent.

When we minister the word, we should first ensure it is the word of God we spoke and then trust in its effectiveness. I mean trust in the power of God’s word to accomplish its purpose.

The gospel is the word of God, so trust in its power to save. Don’t trust in your power to hold a conversation.

Don’t waste all your evangelizing time telling stories. Make sure you get to the word. Make sure you release the word to go on assignment in the life of the sinner.
